I loaded up the AIBO demo scene to just get a feel for things & here's my initial impressions.
Because it's in a browser, I lose a lot of headroom to the Chrome tab, bookmark tab, etc. I know I can f11 into a full-screen mode, but it'd be good if I could set my preferences to always open as a full screen window - or open without tabs or the URL window.
Navigation feels unnatural to me. I'm used to Softimage's S key and other 3D apps' ALT key navigation. I think, if it's possible, the default navigation should be ALT key based.
This could just be my system, but the fonts used in the menus is too large & too thick. Everything trails off with ... so I get AIBO Robot... ForeArm_..., ForArm_i..., and so on. It makes it hard to go through things quickly. I tried resizing the Explorer, got an <-> arrow when I hovered over the boarder, but dragging it did nothing.
I created 2 Cameras, Camera and Camera1. Then I deleted Camera1, but when I clicked on the dropdown in the perspective window, I was still given the option of choosing Camera1.
If you apply a MeshSmooth operator to a box, then change the segments of the box, the MeshSmooth doesn't update. You have to remove it, then re-apply it.
Dual monitor support would be great, but I'm not sure how that'd be handled in a browser window.
I'm sure you guys are aware of a lot of this, but I figured I'd at least give you my initial beta report.
