I am trying to use the unity engine to create an epicly realistic pirate ship game. The problem is how would I simulate damage on the ships? How can I make my model to where it has the abillity to fall apart yet not be made out of so many components it lags the game. For example, I would like it to where if a player gets a lucky shot at a ship, parts of it falls of or wooden planks shatter.
We do not support in this in Clara.io at this time. We will do that in the future but not yet. You will have to model such destruction manually, probably best to use the Slice tool and cut objects in two and then detach the cut pieces so you can move them separately.

Unity's physics engine should handle this, if not, consider using Unreal.Anyhow, this is a physics engine related issue, not a really modeling one.
