So far all the animations I have seen from Clara are simply time-dependent transformations performed on some of the models. The bouncing ball above is a single sphere which is scaled and translated to simulate bouncing and squeezing.
My animations either generate non-linear transformations or completely new set of models added or taken out. The computational geometry algorithms to generate the models are beyond Java and Clara servers will choke on them.
I do not mind going thru frame by frame and set the properties and so on.
But I need a robust way to upload 100s of models in one shot + set global properties for all of them e.g. auto smooth and so on (if possible).
So the bottleneck right now is the automating the uploading. Perhaps this feature is there but I am not familiar with its usage.
Right now if I use the front end GUI and load multiple .obj they form one model!
