Here is a step-by-step workaround for you to experiment with:
Open your scene.
Go to Tools > select 'Faces' (#1) > Detach (#2) and then hold CTRL to select faces and ALT to deselect faces until your selected the section you would like to add the label to.
Select 'Detach' and check the 'Detach as Polymesh' Box.
Drag and drop your desired label material in Clara.io and convert it to a Material by right clicking on the imported label file and selecting 'Create Material from Image'.
Drag and drop the material onto the detached "label" section to apply the material. You will notice that the material will be incorrectly oriented.
Go to Properties Panel > Add Operator > UV Map
At this stage you will have to play with the materials orientation to correctly position it and achieve the desired effect.
In this case, I adjusted the positioning (green for precise adjustments OR blue arrow to manually move it) and sizing (yellow arrow) of the label material on the object. It is useful to also select the Projection (red arrow) of the rough shape of the object.
Finally, you can make adjustments to the label material using the Material panel on the right side to finalize the look.
Best of luck!
