@m2cMike Usually a simple workaround is to just drag-and-drop the material back onto the mesh after import.
In this case, there are actually 2 materials and the obj file specifies to use each one on different parts of the mesh. To use different materials on different mesh faces requires material id's in the mesh data, and this info does not appear to have been retained in the import.
Thus, there is no immediate fix using the OBJ files. However, we work well with FBX files, if there's any way you can export from your tool as an FBX that may help you get up-and-running quickly.
